Nicholas Minissale, DO, MS, is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in both traditional and minimally invasive spine care. He is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, leveraging the latest surgical approaches and techniques to restore mobility and improve quality of life for his patients. Dr. Minissale practices independently, is a member of Beebe’s medical staff, and is actively involved with several professional organizations that are focused on advancing the field of spine surgery through use of evidence and research-based care. 

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Dr. Minissale earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency training at Jefferson Health in New Jersey, which gave him opportunities to train at leading institutions including the Rothman Institute, Cooper University Hospital, and Nemours Children’s Health. Dr. Minissale’s training concluded with a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine fellowship at the prestigious Swedish Neuroscience Institute, located in Seattle. There, he gained experience treating patients with spinal trauma, tumors, infections, degenerative conditions, and complex adult spinal deformities. Dr. Minissale has also completed the Global Spine Diploma Program, an internationally recognized training program designed to certify the next generation of spine surgery leaders, worldwide.

Other Professional Experiences

Dr. Minissale is a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AO Spine, and the Cervical Spine Research Society. He has received several research and academic awards and has been published in numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbooks. Dr. Minissale is a reviewer for the Global Spine Journal and has also presented at many national orthopaedic and spine conferences, positioning himself as a clear industry expert.
