Local

  • CAMP Rehoboth: CAMP Rehoboth is an LGBTQ+ community center located in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. CAMP provides free short term mental and sexual health counseling for community members. The community center hosts several support groups that might be helpful for the transgender community. Acting as a support and referral center, staff can help community members locate services they are in need of. PFLAG Rehoboth Beach provides the opportunity to discuss sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is respectful of human diversity.   • Rehoboth TransLiance- [email protected] The Rehoboth TransLiance is a social group for all transgender people, cross dressers, bi-gender, transsexuals, their partners, family, allies and friends to network, learn, grow, and come together socially in safe, trans friendly venues. So whatever interests or needs that you have as a trans person, you should be able to find it in joining us here. This site was designed and founded for those seeking gender confirmation and open to all who have a supporting interest in our community. We welcome all who have an interest in protecting, understanding and supporting our interests.

    • Monthly meeting for questions about sex and gender - 7-9 p.m.
    • Every 4th Tuesday of the month. All topics are on the table. This is the time to bring your questions and concerns. We will have a circle discussion about sex and gender. This meeting is open to all LGBTQ+ people and their allies, friends and family. This is a great time to share your stories, get feedback and advice from other members and explore your gender and sexuality

    • A legal advocacy organization that seeks to improve the lives of low-income lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (“LGBTQ”) Marylanders. Despite recent, incremental judicial victories for the national LGBTQ community, the low-income LGBTQ population continues to struggle with legal challenges such harassment, complex family law issues, and anti-LGBTQ discrimination in employment, housing, foster care, healthcare and public accommodations.     • Nemours was one of a select group of 496 healthcare facilities nationwide to be named Leaders in LGBT Healthcare Equality. The findings were part of HRC Foundation’s Healthcare Equality Index 2016, a unique annual survey that encourages equal care for LGBT Americans, and recognizes healthcare institutions doing the best work. Facilities awarded this title meet key criteria, including patient and employee non-discrimination policies that specifically mention sexual orientation and gender identity, a guarantee of equal visitation for same-sex partners and parents, and LGBT health education for key staff members.

Our vision is to fight the epidemic of trans suicide and improve overall life-outcomes of trans people by facilitating justice-oriented, collective community aid.

The Transgender Training Institute- The Transgender Training Institute (TTI) provides national training and consulting services that are informed/provided by transgender and non-binary people, for the benefit of transgender and non-binary communities. We work across the United States, providing services including: expert facilitation of transgender-related professional development trainings, training of trainers/facilitators (TOTs), ally skill building seminars and keynote speaking. We combine our topical expertise, formal training as educators, and decades of facilitation experience to provide your participants with powerful professional development and personal growth trainings that inspire change. We also provide support with curriculum design and review, climate assessments, program evaluation, online courses, capacity building, and technical assistance.
